Appearance
Being of Vietnamese and African American descent, Dahlia has a dark skin tone and eye colour. Her flesh is a very soft, caramel tone, while her eyes range from honey brown to almost black. Though her curly hair colour is naturally a dark brown, she dyes it atomic pink and keeps one side shaved even on special occasions. For an individual of her strength, Dahlia is actually quite small. She comes up to five feet and five inches barefoot, and barely weighs one hundred and five pounds. The girl has a very petite build--one with very little curves, save for her hips and bottom. Though she hides such detail well with her attire, her cup size is an A and her ribs are visible even without stretching her torso.
It is rare to see Dahlia dressed up in anything more than a t-shirt, sweatpants (both easily several sizes too big) and an old pair of tattered Converse. Distinguishing marks include self injury scars, which span up her inner thighs and forearms, as well as a few scarifications such as the name Parker carved into her inner left thigh. She also has a handful of piercings inluding her industrials, ears (three in each) and right nostril, in which she regularly keeps a ring.
Mortal Life
Dahlia and Iris Becker were the result of a work affair between Jason Nguyen, a skilled neurosurgeon, and Sherril Becker, a young nursing student. After Sherril lost her job (a result of such scandalous acts), she gave birth to the fraternal twins on December 15th, 1992. Their names were Iris Rita Becker and Dahlia Renee Becker.
As the twins entered school, it became clear that they suffered from learning and emotional disorders. Random and violent outbursts in classrooms urged Sherril to take the girls to a children psychiatrist, who diagnosed them with manic depression at the age of nine. Dahlia was forced to become home schooled, while Iris acquired special care in her public school system.
Following a very cruel prank at her Junior prom, Iris committed suicide in May of 2008. Dahlia entered a state of shock and depression after finding her body. Not a week later, Iris' apparent prom date (a boy by the name of Tyrone Miller) was found stabbed to death in a cheap motel room off of Eight Mile (Highway M-102). His heart was missing.
In August of 2009, Dahlia returned to public school. By the second week she had been urged to take part in school activities, and thusly tried out for the girls lacrosse team. She made the team out of pity from the coach. On September 9th, coming back from a game, Dahlia snapped on a member of her team for a comment regarding her recently deceased sister. As a result of the incident, all were injured in an accident involving their school bus and two other vehicles. Two, including the bus driver, were found dead on the scene. The other victim's cause of death was a blow to the head with a lacrosse stick. Days after the homicide and wreck took place, Detroit P.D. matched Dahlia's prints to the scene of Tyrone's murder. Dahlia was found guilty of multiple homicide. One month after her conviction, she was transferred to Morris Correctional Facility.
In November, Dahlia met Parker Nolan Ellis. The young man became her partner, mentor and leader. Under the guidance of Parker and Ulysses Samuel Kent, their gang leader, she brought harm to several people through ways of torture and death. In July of 2010, Morris Correctional Facility for Juvenile Criminals was shut down by the federal government.
After being transferred to a juvenile facility in New York City, Dahlia met a young business owner who called himself 'K' (full name unknown). Through the weeks that passed, the two found that they were decent friends. One day, the topic of a city named RavenBlack (in which Dahlia's grandmother resided) happened upon their conversation. Realizing that one of K's needs was to find this city, a need that Dahlia could assist him in, the man set to planning Dahlia's escape. By winter, his plans to break her out were executed, and they made their way to RavenBlack.
Turning and Beyond
After becoming separated from K, Dahlia was turned by †Daly (previously known as Malone) on March 26th, 2011. Despite their eternal connection, he didn't have much to do with her vampiric upbringing. Soon following that night, Dahlia began to venture into the city and met the likes of †Toshiya. It was a few days later that the young vampress met three extraordinary teachers who would aide her in becoming an upstanding citizen of Ravenblack: †Ikunnaprinsess, †Mandolin, and †Vera.
The three experienced vampresses built what is known today as The Maison de la Connaissance--a school in which fresh arrivals to the city can learn the ins and outs of becoming a fully powered citizen of Ravenblack. Dahlia entered the school as a student of †Ikunnaprinsess, and shortly thereafter became noted as a honorary Drakonis. While attending the school, Dahlia met a man by the name of †Liander. After knowing him for a very short time, she took him as her first sire in the city on May 13th, 2011. Despite their rocky relationship, Dahlia stayed with †Liander for four months. Shortly after this siring, Dahlia experienced her first zeroing by the hands of †petit_prince on May 28th.
In the autumn months, a number of life-changing events happened upon Dahlia. In the night of August 29th, 2011, the vampress met an intriguing young man by the name of †Vamane over conversation of death and gore. The two have so much in common, hauntingly so, that they immediately clicked on a mental level. Though she refered to him as her 'best friend', her feelings for him were (and are) much more deep. She holds him in very high regards and still trusts him more than most. They haven't spoken since December of 2011.
On September 1st, she finally gathered the blood and coin to sever †Liander herself. The following night, hebrought her to zero with the help of †Master Dracula. Her torpor lasted for two weeks, and during that length of time it is said that Dahlia experienced a bout of mania. In Liander's presence Dahlia met †Inu--his partner and past siress --who to this day has played a very important role in the young vampire's life. Through †Inu, Dahlia met three spectacular individuals whom she is proud to call her siblings through a blood oath that was made on September 4th, 2011: †Sereno, Eli (†MasterVamp) and †Saressa.
A few months later on November 1st, Dahlia finally became fully powered. The following night she proudly took her second sire, †Seppuku, amongst the company of Inferi matriarch, †Nemesis (previously nemesis_wings). Though †Seppuku and Dahlia both hold a very strong dislike for familial terms within a lineage, it can't help but be noted that the two have a very strong father-daughter like bond. Not only has the vampress become close to †Seppuku, but she has grown to respect and greatly admire his creator and partner, †Nemesis. †Toshiya included (whom it should be noted is responsible for †Seppuku and Dahlia's meeting), the Inferi lineage has given Dahlia a sense of pride and belonging like no other.
A few days following her siring, Dahlia opened a printed news source called The Mortiferous Times after weeks upon weeks of hard work and perfecting. It never took off the way that she hoped or anticipated, however her love of journalism is still big as ever.
In January of 2012, Dahlia received three nominations in the annual Bitey Awards, including Craziest Vampire, Most Eligible, and Freshman Class. In the third she tied with a former friend, †Nahm, and the winner is yet to be decided.
On the night of February 3rd, Dahlia was attacked by matriarch of the Inferi lineage †Nemesis, her sibling †Toshiya and the vampress †Reyna. Their efforts were made in order to force the girl to sever from her sire, †Seppuku. As her maker, †Daly stepped into the fight in Dahlia's defense. Shortly thereafter, the fledgling had her first live fight with †Reyna and †Nemesis simultaneously, in which she also threw her first holy water. Dahlia came out the victor, with 2-0 on †Reyna and 4-1 on †Nemesis. The following night she acquired the coins to sever herself from †Seppuku, much to her despair.
On February 7th, Dahlia took the vampress †Inu as her sire. Shortly thereafter she begins meeting with K (now a vampire known as †Khronic) once again.
Upon the evening of March 18th, Dahlia took it upon herself to sever from her third sire, †Inu. The following night she was able to take a killshot on the vampire's husband, †Liander, staking him to zero.
Dahlia took †Khronic as her sire on April 4th, 2012.
Personal Life
Though (or perhaps because) of her previous relationships with Andrew and †Fenrir_Lycan, Dahlia has been caught mentioning, several times, that she will not take a partner--reasons being that she doesn't believe in 'true love', and lasting bindings are very few and far between. She holds herself to very high standards when it comes to companionship, and for that some people might call her picky. In her own words, though, "anyone has every right to be picky when it comes to the individual they'll give their heart to." Perhaps her views will change in the future, or she will end up binding to someone for warfare purposes--but for now, she has no interest in such things.
