Yumi was born into the arms of Sakura and Daifu, the head of the Rozu clan. As she grew up, she had an early understanding of pain, suffering, punishment and slavery. Her clan was not one that many would desire to join.

She got abused in numerous ways by her Father, her mother and twin brother being the only ones she turned to. Yumi and Sune-Ku often liked teasing their older brother, Anzai, who was Daifu's favorite apple on the tree.

At the age of five, Yumi put hotsauce in Daifu's food and wine. She was about to be punished, when Sune-ku took the blame. He was going to be burnt at the stake. In the heat of the moment (Exuse the pun,) Yumi, Sakura, and Yumi's Aunt, Komachi, all convinced Daifu to release Sune-ku. He did so, but wiped out everyone's - Besides his own, and including Sune-ku's, - memory of Sune-ku ever being there. He was carefull to fill in certain gaps.

Months later, Daifu killed Sakura, right infront of Yumi. He poured the blood through her hair, staining streaks of it red, what were permanently there - Not even hair dye could solve it, Not even trying to grow it out!

Two years later, aged seven, Daifu got a new wife that hated Yumi through and through. Alone, tormented, tortured and scarred, Yumi rushed to her room. Her demon, Yuri, convinced her into releasing her, and slaughtered the entire clan. When she got down to killing Daifu, she used the hidden 'Rozu power' for help.

The Rozu Power is something each and every Rozu has, be they blood or just marked. They can only use it three times in their life. It is a power that makes them totally indestructable, and astonishingly powerful. First time, they pass out and go weak. Second time, they pass out for longer and are unable to stand for a day or two. Third time, they die.

After she awoke, Yumi fled the dimension. Running the streets, living on the nothing she had, she survived. She had to steal, kill, and alot of other things too. When she was only thirteen years old, she got captured by scientists who had spotted her ginger neko features.

She refused to let them experiment on her, and did everything she could to disable them from doing so. The girl almost ended up killing one of the scientists, it was then that they decided they should negociate. They agree'd that if they experimented, they'd give Yumi a useful demon.

So, she revisited, twenty-four times, and recived twenty-four demons, up until she was twenty-one. It was then that she had most of these removed, all but Yuri, Yuto and Furi.
