Clan Description

Clan Capadocious is the largest and oldest clan in the city. We have a long and rich history, and our membership spans the entire Gamut of vampires in the city. We Offer:

1. Membership in a very powerful clan. We are the Oldest clan in the city of RavenBlack. You will enjoy the protection of your brothers and sisters while you grow.

2. The best maps, programs, texts, and training in the game.

3. A personal guide who will help you on your journey to becoming a powerful vampire.

4. A voice on all of the major vampire groups.

5. A foundation of Trust, Fraternity and Integrity

6. The most up-to-date information on Guilds, Shops, and everything else. We have members who do nothing but collect info all day.

7. Room for advancement. (And plenty of it!) We are looking for vampires to fill important roles within the clan, as we are still growing very quickly.

8. Services other clans just do not offer, such as a four step school, an OTS, a gaming area, a fight club, an in-city help center, emergency assistance, and a fellowship house will soon be in place to help clan members in need or who have special needs.

Capadocian History

2002 - 2003 Ruling the city

The Capadocious Clan was founded 11 January 2003 and is the oldest surviving clan in the City of RavenBlack. Prior to the Capadocious clan was the first clan ever created in the city named the Travellors, they were destroyed by the Capadocious clan not long after we were established.

In the beginning, the Capadocious clan had 5 houses, the warrior house, the house of thieves, the information house, the training house and the spy house. Our clan’s mission was to crush all inferior vampires and to ensure that only the strongest most fit vampires existed to ensure the survival of our race. Our clan crushed any and all clans in the city until it came to a point where there were none left to oppose us. We ruled the city for the first time.

2004 - 2005 - 2006 Capadocian Heydays

As the ruler of the City, Capadocious was crowned the Prince of the City. In doing so, he released his houses to become their own clans. This was a low point in the history of the Capadocious Clan as it only had one member, Capadocious himself, and the rest of the clan, spread to the four winds, began to struggle and even argue amongst themselves. Other clans were allowed to spring forth, general chaos ensued.

The time came when Capadocious was summoned by his old friends to reunite the Clan. This was not possible to do in the same way as it had been before; the former houses had been clans too long to be made back into houses, and their leaders had been used to being in total autonomous control of their members. Instead of the Capadocious Clan, we formed the Capadocian Dynasty.

With the Capadocians reunited, they were once again the force of terror that this city had learned to respect. The clans that had formed fell before our Dynasty like so many blades of grass before a lawnmower. Our motto, was “Join or Die”. Our power was absolute and all that faced us, eventually joined or were constantly beaten down. This was the 2nd time we ruled the city.

The Dynasty became very large, filled with original Capadocians and our enemies who were forced to endure our command over them, although many turned to love our clan. The problem was, that as we defeated our enemies, it became unbearable for some to exist in the same clan as the person that we had learned to hate before his or her surrender. Many became unhappy with this to the point that they talked about overthrowing Capadocious and creating their own clan without him.

While Capadocious was out of town, a take over of the clan took place. It spread from the leadership of the warriors and bullied over the rest of the clan, who could not defend against it and who had many members who were also unhappy to be working with their enemies. So it was that The Capadocian Dynasty ended, and was replaced by the Shadow Court. The Shadow Court was immediately a shell of the Dynasty and very quickly lost its grip on the city.

Upon his return, Capadocious was furious and vowed to restart his clan and retake the city. Of course, with his history of domination, the city did all that it could to ensure that he was not allowed to retake the city for a 3rd time. It has been a hard road, we have suffered many times to alliances who fear our potential, for no one clan has ever had the power to defeat the Capadocious Clan.

2007 The clan nearly dies

At the beginning of 2007 we had approximately 100 members in our clan, and our focus had been to work as a team to build our power and our ability to defeat multiple clans at the same time and retake this city for a 3rd and final time. †Capadocious left the city entirely, leaving the clan to †Willhelm, who also eventually left. Unfortunately a string of exoduses gutted the clan, leaving Bubbleknight and Thaliliu in charge, in spite of the fact that Lord Archangel, Capadocious's brother, was still in the clan. The halls became empty. Activity ground to a halt. With only two active members out of four total, the once proud clan was about to close it's doors forever.

Late 2007 A new era

By December of 2007, there were only four people left in the clan Bubbleknight was nowhere to be seen and hadn't posted in months. Out of desperation, Thalia handed the day-to-day control of the clan to Capadocious's brother, Archangel, who once ran a clan of his own, the largest clan that ever existed in the city. After two weeks of hard work and recruiting, Archangel rebuilt the clan to a healthy 41 members.

On Dec 15, Archangel found that Thalia had kicked him from the clan, no reason given. (Later Thalia would provide several reasons ranging from a hacked account to Archangel attempting a takeover) Archangel's position was that Thalia intended to simply dispose of him, now that the clan was healthy again, and run the clan herself. Archangel did not give up so easily. He contacted every member of the clan for support and plead to his brother to intervene. To the city's amazement Lord Capadocious, having vowed to leave the city forever over a year earlier, returned to the city to make a final statement, one last time.

2008 The recovery

Since Thalia was not a decsendent of Capadocious, nor was Lord Bubbleknight, and being as how Archangel was Capadocious's brother, along with Archangel's proven clan-building ability, it was decided that the clan would go ahead under Archangel. However, this action temporarily split the clan into 3 factions, as Thalia and others did not wish to give up power so easily, and each faction insisted that they were the "real" Cap-clan, even if it was in name-only.
In the words of Capadocious's Ghost:

Prince Capadocious (8:23:45 PM): I heard that he was booted from the Capadocious clan and I think that is terrible
Prince Capadocious (8:24:09 PM): I also know that he has a vision for returning the Capadocian Legacy, and I commend him for this
Prince Capadocious (8:24:39 PM): I would like for him to consider using his command and recruiting skills to reconstruct the Capadocian Coterie
Prince Capadocious (8:24:57 PM): I am not stirring anything other then giving advice
Prince Capadocious (8:25:10 PM): people who are my friends ask for advice and I help as I can

With that directive, Archangel began the recovery of the clan.

By March 15, 2008 Clan Capadocious had grown to number approximately 350 members, while the former faction had dwindled down to only Thalia herself, with Bubbleknight being completely absent. A third "faction", consisting of only three members, was simply crushed. It appeared that the ghost of Capadocious had made the correct choice, and it was declared that Archangel's 350 members constituted the ONLY remaining Capadocian faction. Clan Capadocious once again consisted of a single membership.

On September 1st 2008 Clan Capadocious negotiated an alliance with the Hell's Angels, powerful warring clan. A part of this agreement was that HA would train the Capadocians warriors. This is noteworthy because those teaching were the same individuals that taught the original Capadocian warriors in houses such as The House of Alumut, great warriors such as †mrbrutus and †Vulgarvamp.

On December 1st 2008 Cap Clan rekindled it's relationship with The House of Heorot. The alliance actually went back to earlier times, but had gone stagnant due to a bad year for the HoH.

2009 Massive growth

In January, the Capadocians decided on a symbol for the clan. It is now the official Capadocian Flag.

In the HA/Ferrymen war (The Flip War) of March 2009, Clan Capadocious agreed to assist Brutus under the condition that the fighting would not stop until the Ferrymen were completely destroyed. However, when the going got rough, Brutus made peace with the enemy, a peace that did not include Cap Clan, which was tantamount to an insult to the Capadocians, and so the fighting continued for several more days. When the Capadocians saw that the Ferrymen were not returning their attacks, the fighting stopped.

In May of 2009, Cap clan experienced a REALITY SHIFT. (OOC:The players of vampires in Clan Capadocious decided not to RP with certain poor players, Namely, a certain group on the RavenBlack Bite who continually cross IC/OOC lines and actually made threats to human behind some vampires.)

On June 20, 2009, †Hanyou 2IC of Cap Clan Created a duplicate Clan Board, and held a secret meeting of the clan without Archangel where the topic of removing him as Lord of the Capadocians was discussed. Once discovered, †Hanyou insisted that he was merely concerned about training the clan for combat, however this deed was widely regarded as an overthrow attempt, and several members were removed from the clan, including †Hanyou. Following his removal, †Hanyou occasionally returned to the Capadocian Castle trespassing, but has otherwise had little impact on the clan's politics, once trading blows and being subsequently zeroed by its members over a conflict in which he was also Smited by RavenBlack.

In August, Clan Capadocious broke the 500 member mark making it the Largest clan ever to exist in the city, toppling the record formerly held by Clan Archangel of 477 members.

Present day Status

The clan is currently in a state of peace, membership is growing, and there are no current difficulties.

2002

• †Mooncalf arrived in the city.
• †Capadocious arrived in the city.
• †Archangel arrived in the city. (Completing the "Three Brothers")
• The first streets came in (ooc: a game grid was created allowing players to move their vampires)
• The Travellers, the first RavenBlack clan, was formed by Mooncalf for protection of its own. †Jadinia was left in charge of the group while Mooncalf went in search of lost kindred.
• "Fortresses" began to form (8 vampires brought together, to protect each other and fill a square; that was before Scrolls of Turning) and surprise.
• †Capadocious declared war on The Travellers, dispersing the group almost single-handedly. Capadocious was quickly joined by †Heimdag and †Battilion (a former Traveller). The new group called themselves Clan Capadocious.
• †Mooncalf returned and formed the militant Blackhaven, a clan dedicated to destroying the Capadocian threat within the city.

2003

• Jan - The Clone Wars began in order to protect buildings and take territory. The most notable Clone masters were †Capadocious and †Mooncalf. †Capadocious used clones with warring reasons and attacked Blackhaven with them. Whilst †Capadocious used clones to flush out Blackhaveners and to trap humans, Anyway, RavenBlack destroyed all the clones, thus putting an end to the war.
• Jan - †JazabellMoonsHo and †Mooncalf developed the power of "Wall-jumping", which is now known as Surprise. In doing so, they were able to take the blood of †Capadocious and his Queen †Battilion.
• Feb - RavenBlack-Alleyway was formed by †Archangel, a hall simply for roleplay only. It became an alternative to the RBB which became cluttered to the point where †Mooncalf decided to hand it over to †Capadocious.
• Feb - †Capadocious started his now famous “Join or die” campaign. He would threaten members of the City to join his clan, or they would be attacked with the new weapons that were being sold around the City.
• Feb - Clan Cap simply crushed Blackhaven, attacking their Fortress with the newly introduced SoT and dispersed the clan into the city; it was a very important battle, called the War of Gloom. It was named as such because it took place mainly on that street.
• Feb - †BloodSpawn joined Clan Capadocious, and soon afterwards, Beljeferon tried to unite all clans that were non-Cap/Blackhaven/Sun under his banner to become larger than Cap clan, but they were put down without much effort, the victory in the War of Gloom having made Cap Clan more feared than ever. The Join or Die offer was made to much of the defeated and Cap Clan grew even more.
• Mar - †Capadocious split his clan up into 5 houses with 5 leaders. The houses were as follows: †Morganafq led the Mists, †Sodakk led the House of Sodakk, †Heimdag led the House of Heimdag, †Syzygy led the House of Syzygy, and †Euphoric Lust and †emily lang led the House of Anais Dracone.
• Mar - Capadocians †Lucius and †ophelia were wed.
• Mar - The Ferrymen formed under †Lucius and became the Capadocian information house.
• Mar - A city-wide assault on Clan Capadocious began, the massive rally of warriors numbered over 80 in total.
• Apr - †Capadocious was voted as "Prince of the city" by the vampires of RavenBlack-Blood.
• Apr - The Church of Blood began planning an assault on †RavenBlack himself. It wasn't long before †BloodSpawn decided he needed his own House within the Capadocious Clan. He formed the Church of Blood and came up with a twisted idea: to zero RavenBlack. Capadocious decided to send his most famous of messages to RavenBlack, "Join or Die." Morgana, Mistress of the Mists, objected strongly to the idea of attacking RavenBlack and after strong discussions, †Morganafq announced she would be leaving Clan Capadocious. The details of this have always been quite bleary, some claiming Capadocious kicked Morgana out for her disagreement and disobedience. Some say she just left of her own sake. The Mists were split, some followed Morgana, some stayed loyal to Capadocious, and some just disappeared altogether. To unify the information house once more, Capadocious instructed Lucius to form the Ferrymen.
• May - †UnicornDream left Clan Capadocious
• May - The Capadocian Clan was nearly all but disbanded; each of the clan houses are instructed to go their separate ways. The reason given is that †Capadocious decided he could better lead The City as Prince if he was not partial to clan alignment.
• May - The war with †RavenBlack was finally concluded with the vampiric god being reduced from a presumed 89,000+ pints of blood to 12,000 pints.
• Jun - †Capadocious and †Archangel simultaneously claim to be the first fully powered vampires.
• Jul - †Capadocious summoned the houses of his former clan, seeking to unite them under the banner of The Dynasty. Many of them flocked to his call; some clan heads resisted, †BloodSpawn from the CoB in particular. Even after their questionable and arguable victory over †RavenBlack, it seemed that the extent of Capadocius' reach was far greater than BloodSpawn expected and the CoB members abandoned their leader and returned to Capadocius' embrace. †BloodSpawn, for his insolence, was denied membership.
• Jul - Some in the vampiric population rejected the notion of a "Prince of the City", and claimed that †Capadocious was left with only a self-imposed title, rather than one backed by democratic process, citing polling results showed that just 27 percent of voters wanted to see Cap as their new leader, and over 50 percent said that nobody should be Prince of the City at all. Those polls were taken after the fair election was over and after Capadocous all but disbanded his clan.
• Jul - †Capadocious strengthened his new regime with the now-legendary phrase "join or die." Many clans did just that, as if they did not join to the banner of The Dynasty, they were destroyed.
• Jul - †Capadocious laid down a challenge to the clans within the the city: if he was not wanted as Prince of the City, who then would have the title in his place? A poll was opened, and eventually won (once again) by Capadocious, who remained the "Prince of The City."
• Jul - †Mooncalf returned, resurrected from what was thought to be death by his arch enemy (and Brother) †Capadocious. He visited the grave of Mooncalf at Gloom and 30th and poured his blood on the bones of his nemesis. It was said that an agreement was made between †Capadocious and the shade of Mooncalf, that if Capadocius returned him to life, Mooncalf would join The Dynasty.
• Jul - Archangel appears out of nowhere with a 100 member clan. Clan Archangel
• Aug - †Capadocious approached his brother †Archangel to have Clan Archangel join The Dynasty. †Archangel stalled, saying the clan was still new. The Join or Die ultimatum was not yet given.
• Aug - Unprepared for a confrontation with The Dynasty, Archangel quietly funded Capadocian enemies, and attempted to spread dissent among the heads of the Dynasty clans against Capadocious.
• Aug - Confusion hit Capadocious' circle of clans (The Dynasty). There was a sudden revolt, and †Mooncalf himself seemed to be used as an excuse for the betrayal. It was claimed that Mooncalf's very presence was unwanted in the clan, as none trust the evidently manipulative creature. It turned out that they were right not to, as Mooncalf joined The Dynasty with the intention of getting revenge on †Capadocious.
• Aug - Capadocious' most trusted generals left his clan, including †Dirktou, †Heimdag, †Vampire B and †Lucius, with complaints that Capadocious was not listening to the words of his advisers.
• Aug - Capadocious was alone in the now broken Dynasty, and the departing generals formed a new group, calling it the Shadow Court.
• Aug - Clan Archangel threw a massive party in their halls, having narrowly escaped a direct confrontation with The Dynasty.
• Sep - Those in the city without the knowledge of black blood, or the ability to make it work, began to admonish black blooders like Mooncalf, Capadocious, and Archangel, saying its use was immoral.
• Oct - †Cerridwen joined †Capadocious as princess of his clan. She left shortly after to form the Towers of Blood.
• Oct - †Capadocious and †Archangel became rivals. Capadocious saw Archangel's earlier failure to join the Dynasty as a betrayal.
• Nov - House of Heorot was formed. This House was formed from a group of warriors trained from within Clan Capadocious, and led by †AQelDroma.
• Nov - The First Vampiric Congress of RavenBlack City was formed, in response to the election of a Prince of the City.
• Nov - †GraveGuard was created by †Archangel, and was the first of the NightWatch Transit Guards to appear. Although not technically a transit guard, he did set the model and standard for the transit guards which were to come.

2004

• Jan - †Capadocious was finally zeroed by the collective force of the city; his clan was also decimated. Clan Archangel and the Church of Blood disagreed over which clan got the killshot. Neither side could produce hard proof. This event touched off the AA/CoB war.
• Mar - Capadocious invented Torpor due to multiple rezeroes by Clan Archangel,Shadow Court and others. The idea became popular.
• Jun - Capadocious decides it's time to lay low for a while.

2005

• Jan - †Lucius stole the keys to the halls of Clan Capadocious, and gave them to †creperum. (This was an OOC event, and not too cool.)
• Mar - †Capadocious started to sell life insurance to vampires. The idea doesn't do well.

2006

• Mar - After an emotionally devastating betrayal by †Crazyinblack, †Archangel handed command of Clan Archangel over to his brother †Mooncalf, and left the clan, never to return.
• Jun - †Archangel was seen occasionally in the streets as a drunken derilict. He was homeless, clannless, and was even seen begging or for spare change. A shell of his former self, the former Liege of Clan Archangel slept in the transit stations.
• Jul - The war between Clan Seraphim v. Cap/Ferrymen/HoH began.
• Aug - †Archangel was found sleeping in the bushes of the Capadocian Castle, having been kicked out of nearby Euterpe Station for vagrancy. †Capadocious barely recognized his brother, but took him in for a bath and a meal. †Archangel joined Cap Clan.
• Sep - †Capadocious left the city, never to return, giving †Willhelm the keys to Clan Capadocious. †Archangel was sent to the Capadocian Dojo, to learn how to find shops and use weapons.

2007

• Jan - Confusion between TaintedXGod and Willhelm on who leads the clan.
• May - †Demonic_Daiti left Clan Capadocious, taking many with him.
• Jun - †Wilhelm left Clan Capadocious handing control over to †Brutus.
• Jul - †Brutus left Clan Capadocious, handing the keys to Lord Bubbleknight.
• Aug - After a long line of steady exoduses since †Capadocious left the city, †Archangel was finally released from the Capadocian Dojo after a year. He was appalled to see that the clan is nearly decimated.
• Sep - †Lord Bubbleknight all but disappeared, leaving †Thalialu, his second in command, in charge of Clan Capadocious. Archangel asked for control of the clan and was denied.
• Oct - †HerGlowingEyes led a last final exodus out of Cap Clan, which left an effective 3 members. †Thalialu reluctantly handed control of the day-to-day operations over to †Archangel.
• Nov - †Archangel grew Clan Capadocious to a healthy 40+ members, mostly vampires new to the city.
• Dec - Thalia attempted to remove Archangel from the clan, but Capadocious returned from retirement to intervene, and the clan goes ahead under Archangel

2008

• Dec - Clan Capadocious announced a RavenBlack Bounty List in the RavenBlack Wake-Up comprising of 12 vampires.

2009

• March 13: On Friday, March 13th, 2009, a MistressAsh's flag was designated as the official Capadocian flag. A beautiful depiction of a black raven perched before a blood moon, the flag enjoyed a 90% landslide over the competition, and a unanimous vote on the color scheme!
• April 2009: Hell's Angels and the Ferrymen began the Flip War. Dogs of War fought alongside Hell's Angels and L'inconnu fought alongside the Ferrymen.
• April 25th: Cap Clan enters the war reluctantly, due to attacks on Dojo student by Ferrymen. Brutus promises to fight until the ferrymen disband.
• April 29: After 4 further nights of fighting the Caps, L'inconnu retreats from the Battlefield.
• May 14: While simultaneously in a Capadocian War meeting, Brutus announces in Ferrymen-friendly newspapers that he has broken his alliance with the Capadocians. He says nothing to the Capadocians himself.
• May 16th: Brutus negotiates a Ferrymen surrender, but it mentions nothing of the Capadocians. Outraged Capadocians continue fighting. * May 26: Hell's Angels leave the Capadocian Halls and expell Archangel from the alliance boards. The HA/Cap alliance is now officially over.
• May 28: It is determined that the Ferrymen are no longer returning capadocian attacks. Fighting discontinues.
• May 29: Cap Clan (along with several other groups and individuals) experience a Reality Shift.
• Dec - Clan Capadocious holds it's awards ceremony, and awards are presented to non-clan members for the very first time.

2010

• January 29: Clan Capadocious announces a general amnesty to all enemies in the city. This coincides with the release of the Capadocian Birthrights, all Capadocians everywhere, in or out of clan, now enjoy basic guarantees and rights forever.
• March 4: Officer's Day. †Archangel awards the Order of Blood to each of his officers.
• March 13: Flag Day. The clan honors it's flag, created by †Mistress Ash.
