Description
The Ferrymen rank among the oldest clans in RavenBlack, standing proud through both great battles and rough waters. We reside among the banks of the River Styx with Charon standing guard over those who wish to cross and join those that have pledged loyalty. Our clan tells tales of the old Ferryman, their ways, their creeds, and their oaths and preserve our own within. We take heed of the Underworld and respect it’s ancient ways while adding some factors of our own to enhance and enjoy our time within the Ferrymen walls.
We claim nothing, no alignment and no enemies until it claims us. We fight, win or lose, for what we stand for, against those that wish to oppose us or harm one of our own. All have a place within Ferry to defend our beliefs even if they chose to do so off the battlefield, so long as they hold strong to their oaths and our creed.
For those that come with ill intentions, know that many in our Great History have tried and failed to bring us down. While you may stir trouble in your own mind, we will continue on despite our enemies and nay-sayers. You are urged not to waste your time.
Please be aware that our Clan, being with such deep roots in this city, comes with a history to match…a history full of great leaders and members as well as sorrows, regrets and traitors. While we attempt to learn what we can from past mistakes and past good examples, years pass and things change and our stance now is to just accept what we are and are not -this- night.

Group History
Founded by †Lucius in the days of the Capadocian Dynasty, and once a part of the Shadow Court, the Ferrymen were initially gathers of information....
Former leaders include vampires such as †WanderingFool, †Aphaythea, †Annabelle, †HBK, †Rodargo,†Cerridwen, †Jean DeVenn and †ladypeacek
- March 2003: The Ferrymen form under †Lucius and become the Capadocian information house.
- January 2005: Lucius makes the announcement that The Ferrymen are going to break from The Shadow Court and become a separate entity after †Nemesis denies him yet another re-entry into the Shadow Court halls.
- February 2005: The Three Orders of The Ferrymen are created: The Scythe, The Oar and the Cloak - now an entity unto themselves.
- November 2005: The Ferrymen leave "the Dreaming" and attack The Church of Blood. Nearly all of the Ferrymen are killed in this war against the Church of Blood, The Inner Circle and The Shadow Court.
- February 2006: The Ferrymen end their Alliance with the Clan Capadocious and House of Heorot and join The Unholy Alliance.
- June 2007: The Ferrymen leave The Unholy Alliance
- April 2009: Hell's Angels and the Ferrymen began the HA/Ferry War with Dogs of War. Mafia fought alongside Hell's Angels and L'inconnu fought alongside the Ferrymen. On April 25th, the Capadocians join in to assist HA, Dogs of War and Mafia. After 4 further nights of fighting, on April 29th, L'inconnu ceases fire in campaign against the Caps.
- May 2009: On May 6th - L'inconnu ceased fire in campaign against HA and DoW. On May 16th, the Ferrymen negotiated a cease fire with Hell's Angels "chalking up a loss" to them in accordance with negotiations despite the blood spilled by so many Hell's Angels. While continuing to fight the Capadocians until the 28th,the Ferrymen zeroed quite a few Capadocians many times. Archangel left shadows, and the Ferrymen, along with many from the City, delivered a rain of holy water, but he escaped zeroing and returned to shadows. In the City, the Capadocians left the battlefield without a word to the Ferrymen...but OOC-ly, the Capadocians invoked a Reality Shift choosing not to interact with the Ferrymen anymore.
