Description
There are those who walk Inside The City who think they are gods. Then there are those who walk above the City and Rule the gods themselves.
We are thought of as the Lowest of the City's vampires. Until we walk behind them and reveal to them who we really are. We are the Best at what we do, and we will Make Damn sure that Everybody Dead and Alive Knows it.
Welcome to Tullus d'Shebalin {Hall of Rogues}, where you will become a master thief and learn to Rule those who cannot rule themselves. Will you train for might? Will you train for stealth? The path is up to you...
Amidst the darkness there are those of stealth and dexterity. Bounded by the camaraderie forged in brother/sisterhood of the Shadow Court, they have broken free. We are Vampires; agents of the Endless Winter, dedicated to one another. These vampires are known as Shebalin, or Rogues in the common tongue.
Shebalin master the skill of Thievery and train their bodies/minds to increase their Stamina levels to endure the stress, fatigue, and pain of combat situations.
Excellence in the Dark/Shadow Operations, aka Dark Ops, is a necessity. The Shebalin perform their duties with loyalty, pride, selflessness, and dedication to achieve such stature. There is a quote that rings through out my mind from a master long ago.
"There are thieves...and then there are...Shebalin."
Forget what you have been taught and come to learn within the great Hall of Rogues!
L'elamshin d'lil Shebali zhah ulu har'luth jal
We bid you welcome, dark ones.
The History
The Archives within the Rogues start with an argument on whether a Rogue could steal from another Rogue; the date of this is Jun 8, 2004. The Rogue Lord then was †Aragorn, and he was arguing with a new thief (at the time) who was known as †jodee.
However, the history goes back much farther than that.
The Hall of Rogues was a part of one of the oldest clans in RavenBlack City. The origins of the Hall of Rogues stem from two groups, The Healers and The Black Hand. Both were original houses of †Capadocious' Empire. †Heimdag, the original leader of this house, merged the two groups to become The House Heimdag on November 23rd, 2003. †Red Julie, the originator of the current Lineage, was †Heimdag's 2nd in Command.
January 24, 2004, the clan's name was changed by its new second in command (†Neo) to The Weaponsmiths, upon which †Will Der Bauer succeeded Heimdag as leader of the clan. Plans were set in motion that day to build the clan to what it is today.
May 31, 2004, †Will Der Bauer and †Woundedknee made the change of renaming the house to The Hall of Rogues. Will and †Nemesis wove the "Drow" language into the Rogues, and it became the official language of the Hall. This created the newest idea of what the current Rogues strive to be.
June 8th, 2004, Will stepped down from the Rogues and left it in the hands of †reach, who was a Chancellor of The Shadow Court.
July 12th, 2004, †Nemesis was named leader of the Rogues.
For two years, the Hall of Rogues was a silent building block for the Shadow Court. The fact that they kept to the shadows allowed them to collect large amounts of coins for the warrior houses of the Court. They gathered the coins, guild information, and shop locations to allow the Court to have up to the minute intel and coinage no matter what, or when, something would arise.
On April 18th, 2006, the Hall of Rogues broke off from The Shadow Court after many clashes with the Chancellors of The Court over differences in philosophies, and has never looked back.
The Present
Every generation of the current leadership's blood lineage has been a Rogue. †Red Julie, †jodee, †relsav, the current valsharess d'lil shebalin, and †whitelightfell, the current Senger d'lil Shebalin, and each of their childer have also been Rogues.
Although the bloodline, now named qu'ellar d' t'puuli (The House of White) maintains the integrity of Lineage within the Hall of Rogues, many who are not part of their line have also stamped their own mark within the clan.
The Rogues still have the same argument that starts its records, even to this day, and that new thief was to become one of the many leaders of the current Hall. At heart, they are all looked upon as greedy little thieves on the search for anyone's coin because "it only belongs to you if it is in the bank"... and they ARE known for their thieving nature.
