We of das Haus der Kaputten Toten believe that a clan is only as good as the sum of its members; the clan should not force its members to unquestioningly submit to the collective rule. Therefore, the members of das Haus are allowed (in fact, encouraged) to adopt a cause.

We of das Haus der Kaputten Toten also believe that true power within the city cannot be solely taken by brute force, and will never attack without provocation. Instead, we encourage all our members to form individual informal alliances with other clans, based upon their own personal belief system. Additionally, we accept ambassadors from any and all clans who wish to send one (even if they are politically opposed to each other).

To all prospective members: As a member of das Haus, you are encouraged to have a dual-membership in another clan. You will be taught how to achieve fame through political means, not necessarily battle strength. As we are not a war-clan, we will accept members of any strength, and work with the trainers of the new members' secondary clans. You will be expected to give equal loyalty to both clans; if your secondary clan calls you to fight, then you are expected to fight for them. As we are also your clanmates, the members of das Haus will aid you in your fight as much as possible, without breaking any personal or clan alliances. Finally, you are not, under any circumstances, to attack your clanmates in either das Haus or your secondary clan.

To all clans: You are invited to send an ambassador to the keep. The ambassador will have access to the main discussion area of the clan. The ambassador is meant to be a token of goodwill between clans; by sending an ambassador, you are, in effect, setting up a pact wit das Haus, and will not attack. However even if your clan does not elect to send an ambassador, das Haus will not attack unless attacked first. As we open our keep up to ambassadors, we will not tolerate spies, as they are a breach of trust.

We are a political clan, not predisposed to warfare. We are not aiming to take over the city, merely taking our place in its political square.

Welcome to das Haus der kaputten Toten, the House of the Broken Dead. Das Haus is a politically neutral clan in the City of RavenBlack, though the Lord and Lady of the manor place no such restrictions upon the Vampiren und Vampirinnen that dwell beneath their eaves.

It is the belief of the Broken Dead that true alliances are made between individuals, and not between group entities. Therefore, we accept the morally pure along with the morally bankrupt, and welcome those who choose not to choose. We merely require a loyalty to your Hausmates, and to der Tote and AstaTheBroken, Master and Mistress of the Haus.

We vampires of das Haus do not swear any oath of nonviolence, and make no promises to remain outside of the petty Clan Wars that run throughout the City. Should these things reach out to touch us, we shall reach back. Just remember that when we reach out our claws and ready our vials, we do so against the individual, not the clan. Foolish is he who raises his hand against ein vereinigtes Haus, a Haus united.
