Caps and L'inconnu

I understand that you are researching that war. I know that Archangel's enemies had an interesting spin on what events took place. If you wish, I will allow you to take a look at the Cap-clan war-room and see for yourself how it all went down. Every HW was screen shotted (It's a Cap-clan Rule), as well as every comment, and who was in shadows and when. It's all 100% archived. I think you'll find that there are definitely two sides to every story :) Just go to capadocians.suddenlaunch3.com and announce your vampire as a guest of Archangel's I'll give you full access to everything --Archangel Talk * Welcome * Support 23:05, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

That's quite generous of you; thank you for the invitation and the trust. But I don't claim to be a particular expert on that war. I've stopped keeping track of the city history in 2008, I think. My interest in that article is just that things are factual, because I can see a terrible row coming out of it otherwise. But Tej has already provided me with dates to correct a phrase; for further discussion on the war though, you should be in communication with Lestat and/or the other clan heads. I wasn't involved in that war, so I don't feel it's my place to edit it considerably :) But thank you again. --Cora 23:31, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
You could still join as an honored guest and look around. It just doesnt have to be about this one war. Cap Clan has some history that is pretty complete and some other nice info you might want to look at. :) --TejasTalk 01:16, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
Oooh *bookmarks the link* Thankies :D --Cora 01:20, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

User Templates

Hi Cora, thought you might like to look through the User Templates to see if you want to put any on your User page. There are also Nationality Templates if you want one of those. :) --TejasTalk 01:35, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

I didn't even think of those XD Thank you for reminding me! <3 --Cora 14:30, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
You are most welcomes. *waits to see Cora go wild with the boxes* Also on my talk page is a place to request user boxes, I love making them and it takes me about a day to make the requests. :) --TejasTalk 18:45, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
Yay =D Thanks, Tej! <3 --Cora 19:38, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

Signature

Hey Cora, I really like your new sig, can you help me make something similar, please? thanks--Susan 03:27, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

I'd be happy to :) I'll catch you on YIM, if you're happy with that medium. --Cora -talk | vamp- 11:14, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

Promotion

Well, that's what happens when someone does something in a way that make a lot of people happy. --Cliff Burton Marco 01:33, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

D'aww. Thank you! I'll try not to make too many blunders :P <3 --Cora -talk | vamp- 09:59, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
So I dub thee, bureaucrat. We needed a new one, anyways. --Cliff Burton Marco 13:49, 26 January 2011 (CET)
More blunder opportunities! :)) Thanks; I'll try not to be too terrible <3 --Cora -talk | vamp- 18:24, 26 January 2011 (CET)
This also means, I now will be open to your suggestions even more :P --Cliff Burton Marco 22:41, 26 January 2011 (CET)

Sudo

I put you and Upir into the sudo group. This means you are able to log into another's user account. This might come handy. Like with an user unable to understand how signatures work, and this can only be fixed with looking into the users preferences.--Cliff Burton Marco 12:54, 4 February 2011 (CET)

Interesting addition. Not sure how much I like it because I'm one of those demanding types that like to teach people how to do something instead of doing it for them. But I'm sure some will greatly appreciate it, and it might come in handy with other stuff too >.> So, cheers for that. --Cora -talk | vamp- 16:32, 4 February 2011 (CET)
I agree. If you teach one, there is one more to be able to teach. But sometimes, .. can be a timesaver. Life is precious. --Cliff Burton Marco 18:14, 4 February 2011 (CET)

Spam removal

That was quick, mam! ;) --Cliff Burton Marco 02:46, 25 January 2011 (CET)

That's how I roll ;) I take it I should merge future spammers to Anonymous? --Cora -talk | vamp- 07:56, 25 January 2011 (CET)
When I later saw that another spam user somehow registered itself (lookin into that how), I checked him and learned that he had two different IP's from different countries. So, instead of blocking the name, I blocked the IP's. I don't know if just blocking by name does that automatically. Following that, yes, it is "policiy" to merge a user to Anonymous. If you do not provide a name and click the merge button, it will warn and automagically fill in that name. Also, it would be good, if we replace the comment to the action from: Content was... [Spammerlink!] to, let's say "Spam" or something like that. We do not wanna let them have traces of their spam attempts still readable anywhere. Tnx, for rolling like that :P --Cliff Burton Marco 17:54, 25 January 2011 (CET)
If you like to try I let you train with merging the last spammer. --Cliff Burton Marco 18:10, 25 January 2011 (CET)
See, that's why I asked: I couldn't see the option to merge anywhere (and I tried to edit the content thing, but it wouldn't let me? Maybe I just didn't go about that one right). So is this stuff I'm not allowed to do per my account? Because I'd like to, if I could take it off your hands :P --Cora -talk | vamp- 02:03, 26 January 2011 (CET)
See Promotion. :) --Cliff Burton Marco 13:49, 26 January 2011 (CET)
Now we just need more spam for me to practice on >.> Not sure if it's something I actually want or nay; probably nay :P --Cora -talk | vamp- 18:24, 26 January 2011 (CET)
I hope I can keep in check. And/or find the hole that let's them get past the CAPTCHA. --Cliff Burton Marco 22:33, 26 January 2011 (CET)
Tomorrow I will look into this. If it is someone doing manually, which could be, considering the low count of registrations, then we'll have to go this way till the one get's bored. Though I do not like to behave paranoid. But I it is well timed with my putting a stick in a beehive (Someone got angry with me about some OOC crap which she *hint* not even explained to me. very emotionally *hint hint*). But, with good luck, it is "just" a security hole in the wiki software and easy to fix. There is hope, as there is one update available, for some short time. Because I try to be quick on them updates. --Cliff Burton Marco 05:55, 27 January 2011 (CET)
I put a lot of work into this. I didn't want to make the wiki a place where each new user has to ask for getting an account. That would have been the last measurement, I would take. I updated the woki software, as you might have noticed from the downtimes and issues that came with it. I also updated the extensions that should help preventing spammers from doing their dirty deeds done dirt cheap. Also I changed the registration process, from recognizing an image with text, to a human question, which the answer should be known to those who hit the wiki. Another hurdle is the pattern recognition. Like the one with the Link Blacklist. It matches against the pattern I made, which was tested against two of those pages. As they all followed a specific pattern, and it worked. Now... we need to be patient. I hope I stopped that crap piling up on you brave brave sysops and bureaucrats ;) Fangs! --Cliff Burton Marco 01:50, 28 January 2011 (CET)
Thank you, loads, Marco <3 I hope it works! --Cora -talk | vamp- 02:04, 28 January 2011 (CET)
Appreciated, Though I'd like you to merge spammers with the nirvana of bits and bytes, I think I need the information to investigate into the things. Just block'em.. hit'em really hard. Buy some Dr.Martens (but don't send me the bill ;) ), and kick them into where the sun doesn't shine. --Cliff Burton Marco 02:31, 28 January 2011 (CET)
lol Got'cha, boss ;) I don't do Doc Martens though, but I sport a mean set of heels >.> Mraw --Cora -talk | vamp- 02:56, 28 January 2011 (CET)
Damn, you know I am a very visual person :P --Cliff Burton Marco 02:57, 28 January 2011 (CET)
You should be able to see this, bureaucrat Idony: Special:BadBehavior, have fun :) --Cliff Burton Marco 17:51, 28 January 2011 (CET)
Ooooh Well isn't that nifty. Interesting... And, I see it's all worked! :D --Cora -talk | vamp- 23:56, 28 January 2011 (CET)

Spam origin

Btw. do you know the origin of the word spam for that kind of annoyance? Read [1] if you don't. :) --Cliff Burton Marco 17:54, 25 January 2011 (CET)

Oh my, that's awesome :)) --Cora -talk | vamp- 02:03, 26 January 2011 (CET)

Help?

Can you please log onto Y!M or #dataclaw so that I can get you to help me with my signature? The help page Marco gave me is not helping me much. Thanks! --Bry talkvamp 11:26, 30 January 2011 (CET)

My guess is, that you didn't follow the steps in the tutorial. Also, there are some important steps which you do have to do yourself. So, Cora/Idony can't help you anyways. Somehow it seems, the wiki signature code
--~~~~
will be replaced with the HTMLcode we do not want. Or do you copy and paste it everytime? As there is a timestamp at the end, I guess you don't. This means, you did something right, you just missed something else. I added two pictures into the help page to clarify things a it with your user preferences. If you still have any questions, feel free to ask. --Cliff Burton Marco 20:05, 30 January 2011 (CET)
I'll be honest and say I haven't a clue what's wrong, but since you asked so nicely I'll make an effort and get on YIM, sometime later tonight? We'll keep in touch, anyway :) --Cora -talk | vamp- 21:19, 30 January 2011 (CET)

vampbox

I bet you haven't seen this one. {{Bite}} ;) --Cliff Burton Marco 04:13, 9 February 2011 (CET)

I have seen it :P Don't like using vamp boxes though. --Cora -talk | vamp-

Picture

Thanks for the picture in Transit traveling. That really helps explain it. --Lord Galamushidon't talk to me 21:01, 11 February 2011 (CET)

You're welcome :D Glad I could help. --Cora -talk | vamp- 21:04, 11 February 2011 (CET)

Le Glow

I am wondering when your sig begins to glow, too :P . Good to see someone not even uses it, but also noticed the new fade, parameter :) --Cliff Burton Marco 15:59, 19 February 2011 (CET)

I'm in love with the fade parameter :P And I don't plan on adding a glow to my sig, but we'll see! If I find a style that works for it, I very well might. I don't know what I'd do about the -talk and vamp- parts of it though; they'd become almost illegible in a glow, and would look off without it, I think :( I might need to make the font bigger, of which I'm not fond (I like smaller fonts). But adding the blue glow to my user page was only a matter of time - I couldn't resist, because it reminds me of Zydrate XD --Cora -talk | vamp-
And lo and behold, I made it glow. Might play around with the colours though, when I have more time... I'm not so happy with them :-? --Cora -talk | vamp- 17:54, 20 February 2011 (CET)
Holy crap, there's something terribly wrong XD I'll fix... --Cora -talk | vamp-
