Stated Description
Through the halls of the lords they creep; through the villas of the merchants they steal; yea, even amid the apses of the churches they stalk, that they might partake in their own unholy communion; and now, you must pass the Rite of Passage of their Dojo, in order to walk among them. They call themselves the Shadow Court. The earth groans beneath their tread, and their subjects cower in terror from their evil stare. They are wicked and wise; their memory is long. They are feared even among the Damned, and it is with these creatures, the embodiments of the word ‘vampyr’, that you must contend with if you wish to assert your place in the hierarchy of Hell, through fraternal devotion, cruelty and loyalty.
History
"When our king †Capadocious announced he was planning a massive attack on Lord RavenBlack himself, †Morganafq, the Mistress of the Mists, strongly showed her disagreement. The matter finally came to a head after a week of intense debate, when Morgana emerged from Capadocious’ chambers and claimed she was leaving the Clan. With her departure, an irreparable breach was made within the House and between the Clan and the Mists. Some of them followed her and made their house a clan; some of them simply abandoned their posts and went back to their original, nomadic ways and some of them stayed. This little group, the First, led by me, Lucius, one of the three ancient Archdukes of Morgana, kept faith in the Clan and stayed loyal to Capadocious. The King wisely offered no apology to the First, it would not have been accepted in any case. He did the only thing he felt he could, he asked me to build a new House. And so, the House of Lucius was founded and the Ferrymen were born.
All was well until, Capadocious at his apogee declared himself no longer the king of the Clan Capadocious, but the ruler of the entire city and all the clans and vampires, as the crowned Prince of RavenBlack. The Clan was disbanded and the Houses were released.
The Clan Capadocious was no more and times were rough and uncertain. Arisen from the chaos, were two House leaders from the clan, those who still believed in the return of Capadocious. They were Lucius, Lord of the Ferrymen, and †Heimdag, Lord of the Thieves. They founded an alliance, merging their houses and called themselves the Amici Noctis, “the Friends of the Night”. A third power was sought by them, The Scions of Thanatos. Briefly allied with the Capadocious clan, the Amici had seen the power they wielded in such a short span and knew them to be worthy of the Amici mantle. †Gothic-Rose and †LordLivingston, the commanders of the Scions, agreed to a merging, forming a strong and unified alliance between the Amici Noctis and the Harbingers of Death. The Amici Noctis became a triangular alliance perfectly balanced, equally led by the three Lords... waiting for their King’s return.
It has been a long winter for the Capadocians and their king never returned. Instead, Capadocious came back to them, enlightened, as Emperor and offered them a Dynasty. The surviving former Capadocian Houses and clans accepted the gift and the Ferrymen rejoiced. They were home again.
But their new Emperor was cursed to live in a crying body, an empty shell without Capadocious. His transformation had been felt from the very instant when the doors of the Capadocian Hall opened for the second time. The Capadocian lords had realized that the Capadocious they knew had been gone and sadly may be forever. King Capadocious was an evil genius, Emperor Capadocious was half good, nothing but a shadow of himself.
Yet loyalty cannot be demanded, it must be earned and perhaps this time Capadocious did not earn it as he did as the former leader of the Clan Capadocious. I was aware that I had to break my oath to him but if I hadn’t, I would have had broken more than 50. This was my dilemma and I made a choice. I died a Changeling and reborn a Vampire thanks to Lady Ophelia. All of the Capadocian clans decided to leave Capadocious, led by the three Chancellors: †Heimdag, Lady B and myself. This was the end of his rule and the beginning of a new court, the Shadow Court.

Timeline of Events
- August 2003: †Capadocious is removed from the now broken Dynasty, and what was left of it came under the ruling of the 'departed' generals; they renamed it, calling it the Shadow Court. It became a group with purely evil intentions.
- January 2004: The Shadow Court declares war on The Tower of Blood. †Cerridwen and †Adreadia are zeroed shortly after.
- January 2005: Lucius makes the announcement that The Ferrymen are going to break from The Shadow Court and become a separate entity after †Nemesis denies him yet another re-entry into the Shadow Court halls.
- August 2005: By this time ophelia, Nemesis, and evilive_inc are Chancellors.
- November 2005: The Shadow Court, along with the Church of Blood (CoB) and The Inner Circle (TIC), kill almost all of the Ferrymen after they attack the CoB.
- February 23rd, 2006: The Shadow Court name their new Chancellors as †CHASS, †Em, and †obsidian.
- June 2006: The Shadow Court closes and locks its doors, seven keys being given to seven vampires to protect and keep its halls. The keys are distributed to former SC Chancellors †ophelia, †Nemesis and †evilive_inc, as well as long-standing clan members †Lesion, †Phoenixxe, †thorn and †Em.
